OVERVIEW
A global leader in furniture and home furnishing needed to prepare for the EU Deforestation Regulation, EUDR. The challenge was not just to store documentation, but to build a complete digital workflow that could support compliance from supplier data collection all the way to reporting and follow-up.
The client needed to ensure that EUDR-covered products could be traced back to origin, reduce manual work in due diligence and reporting, improve visibility into environmental risk in the supply chain, and lower the risk of sanctions or supply disruption in the EU market.
This required more than a simple compliance tool. It required a full platform that could connect supplier information, procurement data, automated risk analysis, and reporting into one operational flow.
GESHDO secured the full delivery end to end — from project management and solution design to development, integration, and execution.
OUR APPROACH
We built a digital EUDR platform covering the full compliance process in four connected steps.
Data Collection
A supplier portal together with ERP integrations made it possible to collect geolocation data, deforestation-related information, and compliance documentation in a structured way.
Risk Analysis
Satellite data and automated risk classification were used to assess origin areas and identify potential issues earlier in the process.
Automated Reporting
The platform generated due diligence documentation and sent the required information to the EU reporting system through API integration.
Monitoring & Action
A dashboard gave the client visibility into compliance status, highlighted risks, and made it easier to follow up on deviations and take action when needed.
OUR RESULTS
The client moved from fragmented compliance work to a proactive and operationally integrated way of handling EUDR.
Structured Compliance
The client gained a structured and scalable way to manage EUDR compliance across the supply chain, replacing fragmented manual processes.
Improved Traceability
The platform made it possible to collect and connect critical supplier and origin data, improving traceability and giving the organization stronger control over regulatory risk.
Automated Due Diligence
Risk checks, due diligence reporting, and compliance monitoring were automated in one place — reducing manual handling significantly.
Proactive Risk Management
The result was a solution that helped the client move from reactive compliance to a more proactive and operationally integrated approach to EUDR.
